Mini/Micro

micro
The micro series was started in 1998, although it was never explicitly labeled as such.  These were much smaller than standard Technic sets, usually only ~20 parts, and with only a very simple feature.  Stores often stocked these by the checkout aisles as impulse purchases.  The really tiny Micro sets only lasted a couple of years, but mini models started appearing a few years later.   Some were simply models that weren't very big and were targeted at a young audience, but others were actually miniature versions of larger sets released in previous years.  In many cases a mini set can be easily matched up with its larger counterpart, but in other cases they are unique.

Since these models have very little in common other than their size, there is no comparison chart for this category.

Feature Comparison

These sets really can't be compared.  As miscellaneous sets, they don't have much in common.
