This chassis is identical to the Egress Black which
I happened to build first, so I will only record a couple of token
photos here. Those interested
in all the other details of this chassis can read about them on my Egress Black page.
The Egress comes in a large box the same size as the
Avante, and has that gorgeous iconic box art. Inside are a pair of
blister packs highlighting the most interesting parts, as well as a
unique body layout that places the tires in the correct locations over
protuberances on the body.
Here I've laid out all the part on my build
table. Doesn't look like that many part, but that's because a lot
of them are in the blister packs highlighted on the right. I have
to admit that it actually quite a pain to remove the parts from the
blister packs one by one as they are needed, but I still prefer this
style of presentation just for the box opening experience. Feels
like quality.
As discussed above, I didn't take any photos of the
build since it is just like my previously built Black Edition, but I
couldn't resist at least one glory shot. This is a beautiful
buggy. Compared to the Black Edition, the only difference is the
paint, the color of the stickers, the color of the wheels, and the
anodize color on the shocks and uprights. Compared to the original
Egress, this version uses Bright Silver instead of Silver. This
isn't actually any brighter in tone, but it is far more metallic which
makes for a very sparkly appearance. Looks great.
