Page 2: Preparing the Body
The Team Car does not use the same body as the regular RC10. While
the overall style is the same, the Team Car body is lower and more
sleek. It's just as big of a pain to cut out though. Above
I've trimmed it and test fit it on the chassis. A selection of the
tools required to make it fit are shown.
The kit included decal sheets for two totally different liveries.
The red stickers are for the livery shown on the box which sits atop a
plain white background. The alternate livery uses a more complex
paint scheme which I found more appealing. On the right you can
see the white and metallic blue paints I've masked and painted along
with a black stripe on the nose. The exact placement of the
masking line is not critical because it will be concealed by stickers.
Here's the completed RC10 Team Car with it's complex alternate
livery. Getting the very large stickers to line up was extremely
difficult.
