Tamiya TRF 415MSX Project
Page 1: Unboxing
The TRF 415MSX comes in a small box with a carrying handle like many
standalone chassis. There is no box art on this kind of box,
instead there is a sticker on the side with the relevant details about
the model and a picture. This version of the chassis is also
printed with some information on the front cover (in English).
There's also a sticker bragging about Tamiya's back to back IFMAR world
championship wins in 2002 and 2004 in the 1/10 electric touring class.
When the box is opened you
can see the plastic parts, hardware, and other parts. This one comes with wheels but no
tires.
Because TRF kits don't come with a body, the sticker sheet doesn't
represent any particular livery. These TRF 415MSX stickers are
unique to this model.
All of the parts are laid out on my table. I've
knolled all the parts, set out the manual, and have prepared to start
the build. These TRF models are always notable for their relative
dearth of plastic parts since there is so much aluminum and
carbon. I could stare at it for hours.
