The stock body is so mean looking that I decided on a
classic black with minimal sticker ornamentation. Looks pretty
good IMHO. At the point these pictures were taken I had not yet
installed the lights, but it doesn't really look any different from the
outside unless it is dark. As you can see in the final picture,
suspension articulation is huge.
The Komodo is not a licensed model of any particular
truck, but I think it is pretty clear that it is intended to be a Ford
F-150. In particular, the unique shape of the headlights gives it
away.
Later, I changed the body to make this truck into a
1946 Dodge Power Wagon. The black Ford was just a bit too plain
and common for me. The Power Wagon in metallic orange really looks
unusual and eye catching which is what I like. The conversion
also allowed me to add a winch which adds a lot to the off road
performance as well as appearance.
