This is a heavy and imposing box. In fact, you
can hardly believe how heavy it is. "The final model can't
possibly weigh this much" you think to yourself. It actually
weighs more because the electronics are not present yet nor the
battery. The right hand image shows the chassis rails and most of
the bags of metal parts. Zoom in on those rails and looks at the
obnoxious height of them. The bags on the top left are the metal
suspension arms, hubs, and transmission housing and are unique to the
"flagship" version of the set.
Now I've unpacked the hardware and laid it out in
something approximating order. There are a lot of different types
of screws here as well as a huge bag of bearings, bushings, washers,
gears, shims, hinges, and every other cool thing you could want.
Most of the plastic parts in the right hand image will
be unused. These are the stock suspension parts which are
replaced by aluminum in the flagship edition. The plastic versions
are still included in the kit. Also shown are the steel beadlock
wheels, the sound system, the lighting system, and the fan.
This image shows the included tools. This is not just the
little cast cross wrench and hex keys you see in most kits, here we get a
full set of quality hex drivers along with a realistic cross wrench, a
tiny drill bit, and a small socket for the scale bolts on the body.
